piedmont: castles, wine and lake region
The Piedmont region derives from medieval Latin Pedemontium or Pedemontis, meaning “at the foot of the mountains”. Piedmont is indeed surrounded on three sides by the Alps, but it offers a lot more, including the famous Barolo and Barbaresco vineyards, as well as castles and quaint villages. From here we will travel to the famous Lake region for a couple of days, and end the tour visiting the highlights of Milan. Discover it & Experience it all, on this 10-day tour.
A Trip through Piedmont
We will discover Turin through a food tasting journey across town! Enjoying the sites and the wonderful food the area has to offer.
Today we will head to one of Italy's most renowned wine regions: the Langhe. We will stay in a countryside resort where we can enjoy and experience the local produce.
Our private driver will take us through the area to visit some of the best wine producers, along the way we will enjoy a castle or two!
Today we will make our way north to the Lake Maggiore. We will visit the famous Borromeo Islands and end up in a quaint lake side village
